The Latest in a long line of finely designed and crafted kaleidoscopes from the studio of Janice and Ray Chesnik.
 
Resting on a cherry wood base, "High Roller" is a limited edition featuring 24k Gold Plated on all metal parts. The scope interior is a 12-pt. two mirror system, and the two wheel sets consists of one millefiore set and one dichroic glass set.
 
Millefiore are pattern glass slices made in our studio kilns and furnace the way Venetians made them centuries ago, then joined together using the copper-foil techique.
 
Dichroic Glass is coated in a vacuum chamber with thin layers of exotic metals such as titanium and zirconium. This allows some wavelengths of lights to pass through, while deflecting others. The resuting colors are truely dynamic.
